As business opportunities expanded, subsidiary groups were established to offer the flexibility and expertise to offer a full spectrum of investment products for our clients’ needs.
Lawrence Chastang, Jr.
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Lawrence Chastang, Jr. joined Western International Group as Client Relationship Officer in 2016 and was promoted to Managing Director in 2019. Lawrence provides global tax planning for high net worth individuals through trust, corporate, and insurance solutions. In addition, he provides leadership to and sits on the boards of three regulated entities. He is well-versed in corporate compliance and internal audit functions and is responsible for continuously developing a referral network of U.S.-based tax and legal advisors.
B.P. “Dan” Martiuk
DIRECTOR
B. P. Dan Martiuk joined Western International Group as a Director in 2019. He has more than 40 years of experience in the Cayman financial services industry. Dan is an advisor to numerous investment committees and has served as a trustee and trust protector. He has held compliance roles including as a deputy money laundering reporting officer.
Margaret Thompson
MLRO
Margaret Thompson joined Western International Group in 2019. She has more than 30 years of experience as a director in the financial services industry in the Caribbean, Channel Islands, Europe, and Cayman Islands. She has served on the boards of funds and regulated entities since 2004, with a focus on risk management and corporate governance.
Carol Smith
DIRECTOR
Carol Smith joined Western International Group in 2019 as a Senior Trust Officer. Carol is a Director of Western International Trust Company Limited. She has more than 35 years of experience in the offshore fiduciary services sector. During that time, she has acquired extensive knowledge in complex trusts, partnerships, mutual funds, and the regulatory framework in the Cayman Islands.
Maria Phillip
CORPORATE MANAGER
Maria Phillip joined Western International Group in 2023 as Corporate Manager. She has over 15 years experience in the financial services Industry, during which she has acquired extensive knowledge in Company Management and Corporate Services Administration, Private Client Services, Private Wealth Management, and Management Consulting.
Catherine Tick
COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Catherine Tick joined Western International Group in 2022. She is a Bilingual-qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) with extensive experience working with small to large trust companies, with an emphasis on business development and trust management/administration and multi-jurisdictional exposure. She has extensive knowledge in corporate administration, BOR/ES and FATCA/CRS reporting requirements/regulations and various IRS Forms.
Kerry Watts
SENIOR TRUST OFFICER
Kerry Watts joined Western International Group in 2022 as a Senior Trust Officer. She has over 25 years of experience working with small and large trust companies in her beautiful native island Cayman Islands in Offshore Trust Fiduciary Administration assisting high net-worth individuals and corporations with their trust, wealth succession planning, and asset protection. Kerry’s knowledge base compasses simple and complex trusts, banking, and corporate services.
